Josue Reyes

I'm a Computer Science senior at UNT graduating Summer 2026, originally from Guatemala. I grew up watching my dad build a trucking business as an owner-operator, and today I still drive part-time to support my family while finishing my degree.

I'm passionate about backend engineering, fintech, and autonomous vehicles — drawn to problems where software has real world impact. Long term, I want to bring computer science education to rural communities in Guatemala, where many kids have never been introduced to programming or what it can do.

Outside of school I'm a soccer player, a husband, and a father to a one-year-old. Balancing trucking, school, and family has been one of the toughest and most rewarding decisions I've ever made.
